For as long as I can remember, I have always strongly believed that optimal health is possible for everyone. It’s been a driving force, in my early career as a registered nurse, being part of the clinical solution to improving health. As my career path shifted to business administration and operations, my calling - what I refer to as my purpose, continued to be a desire that remained unrealized.
I carried on busying myself with my children and family and all that life demands. I was in my comfort zone. Uninspired in many areas of my life, but extremely busy and basically resigned to the status quo.
Then came the biggest push to take action; the realization that I hadn’t become accustom to living in my comfort zone, but instead I was living in My Uncomfortable Zone! I had health issues that literally brought me to my knees. My hair was falling out. I couldn’t sleep. I had chest pain. I’d gained a ton of weight, had a killer schedule that never ceased, between work, children, husband, extended family and volunteering.  Experiencing a lot of fear, I was forced to prioritize myself and after seeing 5 specialists – ultimately the diagnosis was stress!
It was slowly killing me.
I made a decision to reclaim my health from the inside out, to get to the root causes of how I ended up where I was and determine what is optimal health and wellness for me.  I didn’t do this alone, I enlisted the help and guidance from healthcare professionals, support groups, meditation teachers and an amazing coach. I began to get up off my knees – and not only survive, but thrive.
Coaching had been a calling that until now I hadn’t made any real attempt to have my work life reflect my passion for health and wellness, relationships and being a small part of the solution to what appears to have been relegated to the wayside in modern life.  I became certified as a Health and Wellness Coach with Wellcoaches, and relationship Coach with UCI. My well-developed meditation practice integrates well with all the areas of study I have undertaken.
I am so grateful to be able to live my most authentic experience in life, for me the aim is to find balance and a full life in the 6 dimensions of health; emotional, intellectual, occupational, spiritual, physical, and social.
